This handmade solid leather belt is crafted from a single piece of thick, quality full grain Italian leather, and dyed in your choice of finish. Each belt features an intricate design along its entire length featuring Celtic Cranes, in a style based on the artwork of the Abbey of Iona in Scotland. In Celtic lore, cranes were the messengers of the gods.
This is the standard belt width of 1.5", which will fit almost all belt loops in North America, but you may wish to measure your belt loops to confirm they can accommodate it, especially if you are in a country that uses metric.
The buckle attaches with snaps, so that you may swap in your own custom belt buckle should you wish.
The black and brown versions are made from a softer leather that is drum-dyed, meaning that they are dyed all the way through, making them highly resilient against scratches and marring. The amber, russet, and woodgrain belts are crafted from a slightly tougher, more durable leather, but cannot be drum-dyed, and thus are nude leather on the interior.
SIZING - Belt size is NOT the same as pant size. Generally for men, it's approximately 2" up, but the best way to determine belt size is by measuring an existing belt. Measure from the base of the buckle (where it meets the leather) to the hole you are currently using. This is how belt size is defined, so if it measures 38", you need a size 38 belt.
NOTE - As our items are made to order, please allow 3-5 business days prior to shipping.
NOTE - As leather is an organic medium, and the dyes we use are natural, the colour of the final product may vary somewhat from the photography, and that colour may evolve with time.
NOTE - Our leather has good fibre structure, so may be a little stiff at first, but regular wear (and leather oil) will soften it considerably - this choice of a firm leather is deliberate as it allows for maximum durability and longevity.
NOTE - If you need a size outside of our standard size range, we may be able to help! Just contact us to check in about the availability of suitable leather.
