This journal cover is handmade out of solid, full-grain, quality Italian leather, and is fully hand-stitched and lined. It is designed to be reusable, taking standard size inserts, allowing you to refill it with journals, agendas, sketchbooks, photobooks, etc. The design depicts a Divine Celtic Wedding between the God and the Goddess, where they are holding a wedding chalice with one hand and handfasting with the other. Perfect for a sacred book or a wedding book! Flanking the wedding are Celtic Hounds, and the inside flaps feature Celtic Cranes.
This LARGE journal is sized to hold inserts from 5" by 8" to 5.5" by 8.5", which is by far the most standard range for generic inserts. A simple plain paper sketchbook is included to get you started.
The journal cover is lined with smooth black leather to protect the insert, and is fully hand-stitched with durable, thick wax nylon thread. The thread is double-saddle-stitched, meaning it has stitch-redundancy, meaning you must break two adjacent stitches in order to break the stitch line.
This journal is available in 7 colour finishes, that you can see examples of elsewhere on the site (only the Russet is currently photographed, but more will be up soon, and in the meantime you can purchase the other finishes if you can use your imagination).
